1. Definitions

Let’s clarify some important terms:

Supplementary Agreement: An agreement where we, or a third party on our behalf, deliver products to you.
Withdrawal Period: The period in which you can change your mind and cancel your order.
Consumer: That’s you! A natural person purchasing for personal, not business-related, reasons.
Day: A calendar day.
Durable Medium: A way to store information for future use, like an email or printed paper.
Right of Withdrawal: Your right to cancel a contract within the withdrawal period.
Trader: That’s us! Fables & Feathers
Distance Contract: A contract made through our online shop without face-to-face interaction.
Model Withdrawal Form: A form to use if you wish to withdraw from a contract (you can find it at the end of these terms).
Technique for Distance Communication: The way we communicate about our offer and complete our contract with you online.

3. When These Terms Apply

These terms apply to every offer we make and to all contracts between us and you. We’ll always make sure these terms are available before you complete your order. If additional terms apply to specific products, we’ll let you know and make sure you can easily access them too.

4. Our Offers

We always try to be clear and accurate in our offers. If any offer has a limited time or specific conditions, we’ll let you know. We do our best to provide detailed descriptions and accurate images of the products. But if there’s an obvious mistake in the offer, we’re not bound by it.

5. How a Contract Is Formed

When you accept our offer and meet any conditions, a contract is formed. If you order online, we’ll confirm your acceptance via email. Until you receive this confirmation, you can still cancel the order. We take every step to ensure the safety and security of your online transactions.

6. Your Right to Change Your Mind (Right of Withdrawal)

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your product, no questions asked. You don’t need to give a reason, but if you’d like to share one, we’d love to know how we can improve! The withdrawal period starts the day after you or someone you’ve designated receives the last product in your order.

7. Your Responsibilities During the Withdrawal Period

Please handle the product with care! You can inspect it like you would in a store, but please avoid any unnecessary use that could cause damage. If the product is damaged due to excessive handling, we may reduce your refund accordingly.

8. What Happens When You Exercise Your Right to Withdraw

If you decide to cancel, just let us know within the withdrawal period by using the model form (see below) or by contacting us directly. Once you’ve let us know, you have 14 more days to return the product. Make sure it’s in its original condition and packaging (if possible). You’ll bear the cost of returning the item unless we’ve said otherwise.

9. Our Responsibilities During the Withdrawal

Once we receive your returned product, we’ll process your refund as quickly as possible—within 14 days at the latest. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard shipping, we’ll refund the standard shipping amount. You’ll be refunded using the same payment method you used, unless you prefer something else.

10. Prices

The prices you see in our offers are inclusive of VAT. Prices won’t change during the offer period unless VAT rates change or there’s a legal requirement to adjust the price.

11. Our Guarantee to You

We promise that our products meet the specifications in the offer and the legal requirements. We also provide a guarantee, so if something goes wrong that’s covered, we’ll fix it for you! Any additional guarantees are extra and don’t affect your legal rights.

12. Shipping and Delivery

We take care in processing and delivering your orders. Your package will be sent to the address you provide. If there’s a delay or issue with your order, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. If we can’t deliver your order within 30 days, you can cancel the contract, and we’ll refund you immediately.

13. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, payments should be made within 14 days after you’ve received your product. If you don’t pay on time, we’ll send you a reminder and give you 14 more days. If payment is still not made, we may charge interest and collection fees.

14. Complaints and Issues

We aim to make every experience a positive one, but if something isn’t right, please let us know! You can submit your complaint by email, and we’ll respond within 14 days. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible

15. Disputes

Our contracts are subject to Dutch law. If there’s a dispute, we hope to resolve it amicably, but legal disputes will be handled in accordance with the law.

16. Additional or Different Terms

Any additional terms we agree on will always be in your favor, and we’ll make sure they’re available to you in writing.
